You can see here Riells from afar, from L'Escala. Riells was originally a tiny fishing village. Today, it consists almost entirely of hundreds of bungalows and in coastal areas of apartment houses, which are used mainly by Spaniards as the 2nd flat.

Of course there are fishermen even today. Here's a look at the small fishing boats in the harbor of Riells ...

But now a huge marina adjacent to the small fishing boat harbor, which is protected by a large breakwater very well.

A true paradise for boaters who wish to live near their boats on solid ground. The real life outside of the boats, however, held in L'Escala.
